The histories represented in this room changed the world. At Africa House in New York, we gathered with a responsibility to the people who made those histories possible and to the generations who will inherit what we do next. I am proud to be part of this beginning.
During UN General Assembly High-Level Week, we joined Africa House alongside legacy families, institutions and leaders from Africa and its global diaspora. The gathering brought distinct histories into conversation around a shared ambition: turning relationships into lasting collaboration and opportunity across generations.
To sit among people carrying so much history is to feel the weight of what is still possible. I left Africa House thinking about the work we can carry forward together, and the young leaders who deserve a hand in shaping it. To gather is to grow.
